2017 MIPE

The International Conference on Mechanical, Industrial and Power Engineering (MIPE) is an international platform for scholars, researchers and practitioners to discuss interdisciplinary research and practices in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Power Engineering and all sub-fields.

 

2017 MIPE will take place from August 14-16, 2017 in Osaka, Japan. Prospective authors are invited to submit original research abstracts or full papers which were not, are not and have not been submitted/published/under consideration in other conferences and journals.

Topic:  High-Level Development of Real-Time Distributed Applications

 

Keynote Summary:  We consider an emerging class of challenging networked multimedia applications called Real-Time Online Interactive Applications (ROIA). ROIA are networked applications connecting a potentially very high number of users who interact with the application and with each other in real time, i.e., a response to a user’s action happens virtually immediately. Typical representatives of ROIA are multiplayer online computer games, advanced simulation-based e-learning and serious gaming. All these applications are characterized by high performance and QoS requirements, such as: short response times to user inputs (about 0.1-1.5 s); frequent state updates (up to 100 Hz); large and frequently changing numbers of users in a single application instance (up to tens of thousands simultaneous users). This talk will address two challenging aspects of future Internet-based ROIA applications: a) using Mobile Cloud Computing for allowing high application performance when a ROIA application is accessed from multiple mobile devices, and b) managing dynamic QoS requirements of ROIA applications by employing the emerging technology of Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

Topic:  Big data: R for Reduction

 

Keynote Summary:  Today big data or data science is emerge and big issue for big industries such as telecommunication, banking, healthcare and big educations environments such as research universities. We need big data analytic because it does reflect many high impact information needed in business and government and/or private sectors. The aim of this talk presentation a reviewing elements of big data, current research work challenges issues in architecture design, store data and information/data retrieve. Big database types such as cloud, big data security, software engineering solutions and big data search engines are reviewed.

 

Also, with the exponential growth of data collected and available, the need to properly sort and use that data efficiently arises. This poses new challenges to agencies and almost all businesses. These huge amounts of data are known as big data, and this presentation covers the basic techniques used and real world applications and good usage of the data collected. An introduction of R language is presented. The scenarios of usage are countless and almost every company has to deal with big data problem, whether it needs to keep record of their sales, information about their customers or technical information. Therefore, big data techniques must have a reduction (R) tools not compression tools to obtain useful data.
